I say something, and then almost immediately I hear a distorted, misquoted, twisted, 'gotcha' version of it echoed from the McCain campaign. Senator, I call on you tonight to put an end to the deception in this campaign. You are an honorable man, and the American people deserve better from their Presidential candidates."

Look in his eyes, evidently.

I thought Obama did very well. He very much earned my respect. He held his own with dignity, grace, and integrity. I loved his explanations and I was satisfied with them. McCain is just confusing and he is losing my vote more and more each day.

The debate was very well moderated and I feel like the audience came out the true winners.

I really liked the format of this debate. The candidates were able to take the time to make their points.

And I don't think either of them won. They explained their plan and their goals for the next administration well. Now, who you liked better might have done better in your mind, but I'm sure the other side will say their person did better. If someone 'won' it means that they had the better ideas and direction for the country. And I don't think I got that from what they said last night compared to their platforms.

I was impressed that Obama was on-board with nuclear and off-shore oil drilling. I'm not a big fan off off-shore drilling (Especially if we aren't reducing our imports by the same amount), but nuclear power and fuel life cycles need to be looked into more.

Agreed. Except I felt Obama "won".

Is there a transcript for this debate? I didn't get to see it, and as I am a little hard of hearing, a transcript would be great.

I watched, both catered to their base, Obama= more giveaways, McCain= more Bombs.

Obaman did a lot of agreeing with McCains policy on the middle east.

Who won? Depends on if you were watching through elephant shit, or jackass shit tainted glasses.

I don't think either won big either. The debate probably did Obama some good since some of the voters who think he is an Islamic terrorist might have some reason to doubt now. Not that they would vote for him anyway but it may give them pause before trying to convince family and friends of his evil intentions. I don't think the debate did him much good with the religious right who think he is the Anti-Christ though, they probably think he is just using a smooth approach to help Satin get power.

These debates don't do much except let people see who looks presidential. The composed Obama came out on top here but because he is black and has a funny name it is probably even.
