I know there are probably 10 times that number why they DON'T have sex, the most common being lack of previous sexual partners, by about 3 billion or so. This is proven by the vast number of women who have told me: "You're the last man on earth I'd have sex with!" Obviously they are working their way towards me.

I haven't read the book, so I don't know all the reasons, but I am wondering what would be the 3rd or 4th reason for a woman (I'm assuming being horny is number 1, and because it's just fun/feels good would probably be 2).

I never really ranked the reasons. But I guess because I wanted to, because he wanted to, for release of stress, emotional closeness, fun, comfort, drunkenness... Did I mention stress release and because I wanted to? :lol:

that's not the only reason men have sex, either...just for the record.

I think women are much more tethered to emotions and the qualities of their life and relationship when it comes to the sex drive. Which would mean, of course, that women have sex for lots of different reasons...as the article seems to suggest.

3rd and 4th reasons for me, now in my present relationship - to share intimacy and to relieve stress.

But I have also had sex for much less palatable reasons in the past.

all the same reasons as men, just in a different order I think.
love, closeness, fun, pleasure, excitement, just to prove that you could, etc
my personal favorite is to initiate sex when hubby says he's not into it, tired, etc. If he falls asleep on the couch, I'll let him nap, then wake him by sitting on his face naked. We joke that we have each other "trained" He wakes up licking lol!
