Best CPU cooler recomendations
 

Just purchased a AMD XP 2500+ Barton chip OEM and I want to know what would be the best cooler for it? I want one that looks nice since I'll have a windowed side case cover. Also like to get a quiet one.

Suggestions? :D

well, consider water cooling as an option if you're gonna overclock the thing.

otherwise, i would get the fan/hs combo that comes with the retail set.

Get this heatsink. You'll also need to buy a decent fan.

Here's a review of the heatsink. They OC'd a 2500+ to a 3200+ with this heatsink and a good fan. I'm gonna upgrade my system in a few months and this will be the heatsink I buy. Just don't buy a loud fan and it'll be quiet. If you plan to OC then you'll need a loud fan to keep things cool.

If you dont want to drop 70 bucks on a slk 900 get a thermaltake volcano 7+ ive got one on my xp2500 and its over clocked to a xp3200 and I have good temps 43c to 47c
