any way to customize hot keys??
does anybody know if there is any way at all to customize the built in hot keys? i specifically want to customize the alt-f4 combo to either different keys or one specific key. i'm using a remote type mouse for a console like pc and i want to be able to exit emulators using alt-f4 from the remote. the remote has limited keyboard buttons but as far as i can tell they're not customizable themselves. thanks for any help

I'm not sure what you mean by 'remote type mouse,' but there's a nifty program called Girder that is able to do what you want. There's a steep learning curve, and you'll have to spend some time getting it to work, but there's a decent support forum. Most of the questions you will have have already been answered somewhere on that board.
The program was made originally to let people use their remotes with the computer. If that's what you mean by "remote type mouse," then there's a good chance that the program will work for you. Good luck getting your thing to work! Link: http://www.girder.nl/ |
that looks really cool, and i'm sure i could get it to work the way i want it to along with plenty other cool things to do with it....but i don't want to spend money on this.
My mouse is a remote control with a circle joy/pad for the mouse movements and buttons for the rest. It also has several keyboard buttons on it. so i was hoping there would just be a simple way to set a certain button or different buttons to the same function as alt-f4. that program looks great...i just can't spend 20 bucks on it. any other suggestions? |
pm'ed you
