Linux System Sounds

Anyone know where I can get some good system sounds that I can use with Linux? The kind of thing I'm after is like the female voice of the computer in Doom 3, announcing system shutdowns and the like.

Dunno where you can get that specifically, but I know KDE-look.org and gnome-look.org have system sound sections which may have something you like.

If you are using KDE or GNOME, you really shouldn't have to look for anything Linux specific. You should be able to use any WAV or MP3.
