theguyondacouch 02-13-2004 05:46 PM

It told me to back my ugly ass up.????

Mastershredder 02-13-2004 08:17 PM

Whoa that was nuts. The video was kinda grainy, but did the guy who got trampled shoot the lion in the face? Kinda hard to tell.

zfleebin 02-14-2004 12:00 AM

From what I have read on other forums that was a canned hunt. All I know is that I would fire that guide and then kick him in the balls.

forgotten_dream 02-14-2004 02:53 AM

Why the hell are they high-5ing eachother in the end of the video? They missed the lion about a dozen times, then it kicks the one dude's ass and runs off. As they CONTINUE to miss.
That's why the lion is the king of the jungle... because an opposable thumb doesn't do much good if you're a lousy shot. :P

Keeryste!!! Nice shootin'. It appears that they did get the poor bastard, though...finally. Lucky he wasn't 6 inches to the right on that leap. Watch the slow-mo. He would have taken that guy's head off.

Now I'm a hunter, but this video made me kind of sick. You see I hunt deer and I kill deer, usually with one shot. I dress the deer myself and have it butchered and put its meat in my freezer. I just don't understand the need to exercise human dominance over a fellow predator by blowing him to f***ing kingdom come.

This wasn't as bad as another video of a 'canned' hunt I've seen. A black panther, I think, on a ranch in Texas. In a 3x3x6 foot cage. The mighty hunter walks up, puts the rifle barrel through the cage bars, and pulls the trigger. Class.

No wonder hunting gets a bad rap.

G5_Todd 02-14-2004 09:25 PM

nah they did get him....if they missed him ever time he would pwned all of them...the reason he missed when he went to pounce on that one dude was because he got shot

mbchills 02-15-2004 05:14 PM

this is why i fucking hate humans

Asuka{eve} 02-15-2004 08:16 PM

Im glad the lion survived....and wasted that guy. that was sweet.

What the hell was the guide doing:

"okay take him.....no wait....okay take him....not yet...."

Seemed like split personality disorder...

What a bunch of hacks.

silly bastards

krwlz 02-20-2004 07:38 AM

They werent hunters. That was lion shooting, not hunting.

A real hunter would have taken one of the first shots they had. The distance didnt look that great. And why are they hunting the lion? Im pretty sure thats illegal now a days.

Dumbasses, I wish the lion had won.

Bill O'Rights 02-20-2004 08:23 AM

*shakes head*

This, my friends, is what gives the sport of hunting a bad name.

[secretly wishes that the lion could've taken a few of 'em out first]

If you want to read a real book on big game hunting, check out Peter Hathaway Capstick's books, like Death in the Long Grass. You will gain real respect for Africa's animals, and also understand how a proper hunt should be conducted. BTW, his hunts were done in the 60's and 70's.
