Does anyone know who the comedian Carl Hurley is?

I don't think he really caters to the typical TFP demographic, but I'm just curious if any of you even know who he is. His stuff gets played quite a bit on Blue Collar Comedy and LaughUSA on Sirius/XM. Most of his shows anymore are at private speaking events or at theaters that cater more towards senior citizens. Anyway, I happened to be sitting next to him at a hotel bar earlier this week and he struck up a conversation. We chatted for probably an hour or better and had a couple drinks. He seemed like a friendly, genuinely nice guy.

I had got to the hotel fairly late, so I decided to head to the hotel bar for dinner and a drink or two. I didn't recognize him at first, and ended up randomly sitting next to him. I ordered a drink and a sandwich. When my food arrived the bartender started to reach out with the plate and said "here you go" and he half reached for it and said "Oh, is that for me?" I didn't think it was, since I had just seen her take a plate away from in front of him. She says "no, it's for him" and sets it down in front of me. He looks at me, reaches over and feels my bicep, and says in a somewhat mournful voice "yeah, looks like that's for you and you are going to keep it". I kind of chuckled and we talked a bit, and eventually he told me what he did and who he was. It was interesting, being a fan of stand up comedy myself, to get his perspective on it.

/randomness of life, and trying to post on TFP about random things like the_jazz says we're supposed to. :p

The name rang an instant if slightly vague bell off the top of my head, I must have listened to him on XM radio.

Not a lot of great video on YouTube, but this kind of shows you who he is. Some of the stuff is dated, and obviously he caters more towards a senior audience (even told me that while we were talking). But he was a very pleasant guy to have a conversation with.

So I'm not the only one who gets felt up by older gentlemen out in public. ( My arm usually ). Did that actually used to be considered proper etiquette? It's kind of creepy to me, but I put up with it, as long as the squeeze isn't followed up by a caress. If you know what I mean.

    Funny guy though
