An almost sorrow, wanting
Wondering what to do
memories haunting....distant smile
The chances happy few
Grasp at jewels daunting
The release from this doldrums due
Joy is taunting you to smile

 

I can remember, but why
These moments felt
Friends and neighbors never die
Softly padded thought like felt
Buttered dreams delicious melt
Remember if you try
Liquid courage is the belt
Absent great times cry
deep emotions felt
We play the hand we're dealt
This ice in veins will melt
You Tilt the Forum when you try

 

Do you wander...wonder?
Skate the world ice
Never do you stumble and slide, no need to hide
Ignore the blunder
Embracing nice
Ups and downs a ride, at least you tried
You speak in thunder
All will hear or pay a price
Wisdom thunder in your pride
But, all that you ain't
Cracked pedestal wobbles your bust
Seething in this lack of trust
Last coffin nail erodes with rust

 

Try as he might
With wit and smile
Wasting the night in hopes worthwhile
