Anyone have some good gluten free recipes? More specifically recipes for picnic type foods.... Any help would be great!

I searched a little and found the site above.
Are you thinking about items like cold pasta & potato salads?
I've found that most rice pastas are a little too mushy to use in a cold salad.
I use a quinoa & corn blend pasta that's much sturdier & I prefer the flavor, too.

Are you gluten-intolerant or are you preparing food for someone else who is?

Someone else, I went out to a Gluten free specific store and quinoa is my new best friend.... works so much better than any of the alternatives.... plus its super healthy. The lady at the store pointed me towards some brand that are gluten free.... Grimm brand deli-meats... avoid grain based stuff.... definitely something to be learned...

    Since you mentioned quinoa...

I love, love, love this recipe: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2010/10/dinner-tonight-spicy-quinoa-salad-recipe.html Really light and refreshing, but also filling, so it works as a main course, largely because of the quinoa. I also had a quinoa tabbouleh not long ago at the veggie restaurant here in town, and here is a recipe that resembles it: http://www.thekitchn.com/thekitchn/salad/recipe-quinoa-tabbouleh-090136

You could also do a Greek salad--cucumber, tomato, Kalamata olives, sliced red onion, feta cheese.

I was going to mention Quinoa tabbouleh but snowy beat me to it. I have gluten and wheat sensitivities and this site is my best friend: http://www.edenfoods.com/recipes/

Just set the filter to "gluten free" and you'll get the full list of gluten free they have. If there are additional diet concerns you can narrow it down even more!
