Yes, folks, you can rest assured that I scored 100%.

It's a quaint little quiz that's pretty comprehensive for 16 questions, but it doesn't get into everything. I guess it does well enough in correcting many misconceptions, common errors, and tricky colloquialisms.

I hope you guys read the explanations.... :)

There is at least one answer I can remember that could be up for debate. Some prefer to use which with a restrictive clause instead of that [e.g., "It's a quaint little quiz which is pretty comprehensive...." (no comma)]. I'm not sure about this usage in formal writing (I don't feel like looking it up at the moment), but I suspect it's an older usage that has fallen out of favour. I prefer to use that in the restrictive sense and which in the non-restrictive. It keeps things simple.

I'm not all that surprised that the average score is 91% (if I remember correctly—I'm not awake yet). I'm sure there are far more challenging grammar quizzes/tests out there.

100%. Nice little quiz. Not hard.

Good grammar, vocabulary, and spelling are important for formal writing.

Even people who know how it's spelled and pronounced will fail to pronounce the r or stumble over it. This is because the successive r sounds are relatively difficult to pronounce following the first syllable.

To be fair, you did admit to guessing the correct answers to those questions. I also have proof of the grammar sins of your past, so you may wish to tread lightly.

    ;)
