I am gonna be a ZOMBIE!

My girlfriend replied to an ad for extras on a zombie movie being filmed in Youngstown. I guess being over 25 (way over) and kinda creepy looking to begin with, cemented us in the realm of featured extras.

which brings up the question, have you noticed being treated any differently as you age with grace?
Or are you (as I have been accused) not acting your age?

I don't think I've changed much as I age, as far as how I act. Except for groaning everytime I get up, that is. I'm not treated much differently either.

 

I've slowly gotten used to being called 'sir' but since I still noticed it each time it happens, I guess I'm not that all used to it. Kind of grates on me. I'd much be preferred to as "hey you"

I have never acted my age, btw.

My son was in an extra in a movie filmed in Chicago a few years ago. Actually was in several scenes but only one made the movie. Still was very cool to see him on the big screen. Have purchased the Blu-ray version.

 

I've been called 'sir' since I was a teenager. I apparently looked more mature than I actually was. In fact the movies I was an extra in as a teenager had me drinking in a bar.

I still want to be an extra in a zombie or werewolf movie...

 

If I were to be a movie extra, I'd love to do it as a zombie. I'm a bit jealous!

 

I already decided that if I ever actually write, get published with my scifi ideas, and get any kind of film made that I want just a small cameo onscreen. I would play the traitorous scum that opens the door for the enemies then is gunned down by my own side in the first 3 minutes.

 

well, that was fun.....2hrs in make up, 4hrs standing around and shooting what should end up as less than 12 minutes on film. Hope I dont end up on the editing room floor.....

If it was possible I would choose to be a zombie wearing some kind military uniform. Heavily distressed Navy dress whites would be my first choice, never cared for how those pick up any speck of dirt within a 20 mile radius then require dry cleaning.

People that know me watch me with a wary eye, but I can get away with acting my age among strangers ... and I feel like a phony.
