KOIN (CBS station as KGW is the NBC and Channel 2 is the ABC affiliate) was one of the local channels in my home town - grew up 20-30 or so miles south of Portland.
That sounds a bit disturbing. At least Luke Skywalker had a reason to crawl in the guts of the Tauntaun.

That's a very weird way to pay tribute to a horse you supposedly love, but...since it was dead, I guess it's mostly just weird. Doesn't seem like anyone was forced to do anything and it doesn't sound like they killed the horse because they wanted to do depraved stuff to it. Also, 32?!? I had no idea horses lived that long. I thought late teens was exceptionally old for a horse.

 

I have only heard of horse mollesters/fuckers over here. One chap was caught on his second visit because he left his boxer shorts and also dna evidence in the horses vagina - presumably found with a rape kit. These wierdos would worry me a bit more - visions of a basket on a string and horsey rub the lotion in, make the skin nice and soft.

It sounds like the horse was being put down anyway and not just for her pleasure. Is it sick and stupid to do that to the body? Yes. Criminal? No.

 

Well, here's what puzzles me about it. I'm very much a "live and let live" sort of guy. Just because I don't like soemthing doesn't mean others can't like it, and so long as they don't bother me or other people, I say more power to them, let them do what they want. But usually, even if it's something that's not to my taste, I can sort of understand what the attraction might be, even if I have to think about it a bit. For instance, hunting -- not my thing. It never even occurs to me to do it or to want to do it. But I can sort of understand, simply on the intellectual or abstract level, what people might see in it. This one, though, I just don't get. It makes no sense to me at all.
