    pWf Getting Tilted

    Good day,
I have moved to the middle of nowhere, before we bought the house we now live in, I called Frontier to find out about internet. I was promised at least 3 mbps (pretty pitiful over all, but thought better than no internet) Most days/nights I am VERY lucky if I hit 1/2 a mbps. I know there are more than on Satellite internet provider, and I am wondering if anyone uses one. They all seem to require hardware purchase and a minimum 2 year agreement. I would like to know of their reliability before I commit to something like that. Damn how I miss my Charter 60 mbps line...

Basically asked and answered. You're stuck with sat and they're all, as you said, hardware/agreement/weather/still slow.

Your ability to watch cat videos and download hardcore pornography is absolutely crippled and I feel for you, my friend.

This is the reason I can't live in the country. Reliable internet is a must.

We live in the middle of nowhere, and have Exede which is some offshoot of Wild Blue.
Unfortunately what you see is what you get.
I don't need high speed reliable internet to work but many people do and I think it contributes to the ongoing depressed economic conditions in rural areas when basic infrastructure is lacking.
