I do not work for NETFLIX nor do I own stock ( if there is such a thing) so in other words NO AFFILIATION. SO, I gotta' say if you don't have a NETFLIX subscription....GET ONE... it's the greatest thing ever. All shows NO COMMERCIALS....BUT WARNING...you will get hooked and could spend days "binge watching" great shows....all for about 7 bucks a month...
I'm intrigued. What do you have access to for "about 7 bucks a month?" Most folks here on TFP have probably had some form of "pay" media entertainment for many years; I wouldn't be surprised if many of them have never not had "pay" entertainment. I/We have not any form of "pay" TV in about 30 years. My parents had cable when it first came to the Houston market in the early '80s. Note--The local politicians made it complicated, and subsequently expensive, when they made sure their cronies got a slice of the pie.
Incredible number of series that were on "regular" tv, and I think a ton of movies.... We had never seen Breaking bad, now we're into House of Cards, NCIS, Burn Notice, The Glades....etc
I have it...but I go on and off with it. I alternate it with my DVR and all the channels I have on the Ultimate Package on Verizon's Quantum FiOS. However, I'm going out & about more these days...so I don't binge watch like I used to. It does have a lot to offer for a good price.
I love it! We don't have a TV, so it's nice to see american shows once in a while. The big bang theory.
Just got it not too long ago. Have about a season and a half left of Breaking Bad. Also watching Sons of Anarchy. Looking forward to so much more.
We get re-runs of TBBT every night on free antenna TV. I like the show well enough, but there are times when I'd really like to see someone explain to Sheldon what a pompous ass he is, then beat the living shit out of him (I'm talking serious injuries).
Big fan myself. I have been enjoying two mystery series, one set in Australia right after WWI called The Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries and one set right at the turn of the century in Canada called the Murdoch Mysteries.
Often they get movies right after they hit Bluray. Different studios are more Netflix friendly than others, but there are lots of newer movies available. Also some great Netflix only TV series.
ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK SEASON 4 BEGINS TOMORROW!!!!!!! I will binge watch it and finish it this weekend. ;-)
Fringe was good until about season 5. I binge watch the shit out of Netflix while I'm writing reports. In the past three years I've done House of Cards, Bones, Gilmore Girls (shut it), Spartacus, Marco Polo, Jessica Jones, Kimmie Schmidt, Daredevil, and I'm doing Supernatural now. I think I did House for awhile and then they pulled it?
Not Netflix related (or maybe it is): I'm looking forward the series finale of Person Of Interest, want to see how the writers wrap things up. POI started off great, but slowly but surely got into way too many NFW! situations.
