    There was a thread for the NFL, are there any NHL fans up in hurr?

    I was pleased to see the Canucks set my expectations suitably low by losing to the Oilers on opening night.

    Here's to another season on the ice!

    Sabres fan here.
    We have a new coach, a few new players but no major changes.
    I was pleasantly surprised by their play against the Penguins last night.
    Casey Mittelstadt in particular looked much improved.....not always getting pushed around like he was before He looked like a boy playing against men last year.
    So maybe, just maybe they won't completely suck like they did last year. But I'm not getting my hopes up.
