    It is about old technology, and maybe not so old, that is not common today even steampunk. Feel free to add too this.

    The Bell 101 dataset, 1958. The Bell 101 was the first commercial modem and was capable of transmitting data over telephone lines at speeds of 110 baud, or approximately 13.75 bytes per second.
