Standard frozen patties from Wally World. They are kinda like large scale White Castle Sliders. The come out well done all the time, but they are steam cooked. So no crispy exterior. They are good and convenient.

Try experimenting. If the burgers come out too "well" then chop them up, put in bag in freezer, and use for chili or sloppy joes. Or feed to the dog.
Then cook for 5 minutes less next time. Eventually should be able to get the timing right.

What is the difference between and Instant Pot and the more modern type pressure cookers?

Instant Pot is still an Electric Pressure Cooker. Only difference is possible size and the control settings. If you just go by manual setting and pressure level, most EPCs are the same. There are some fancy ones that let you adjust the pressure, but I prefer to Set It and Forget It.
