Another one of these threads....... :(

Craig Sager has been one of the better known reporters (mostly NBA sideline reporting in recent decades) for basically my entire life. He's a Chicago guy, and someone I grew up watching and liking a lot. He was most known for his crazy suits and outfits. He has been fighting cancer for many years, and kept working through last year through painful and repeated treatments. His story was pretty inspiring for those of us who followed it.

Here are examples of what he'd wear on TV on a nightly basis:

I had never heard of him until the earlier reports on his fight with cancer. It seems that basketball lost a great one.

So many emotional tributes from journalists, coaches, and players this last week. I admit that I cried when I heard the news, and every time a tribute would come on, I'd cry some more. Craig Sager was an amazing sideline reporter, and when he became ill the first time around, it was so clear what an impact that was having on people. When he returned, the response was incredible.

In terms of sports journalism, we lost a good one.
