I've read a few articles that say waiting for Putin to be removed (assinated) is futile because many important people in the Russian security and intelligence services owe Putin big time. Attempts with any chance of success would have to come from the people closest to him, and that's highly unlikely to happen.

Let's be honest. Politically motivated assinations have been & will continue to be part of world history.

Russia's Prigozhin admits interfering in U.S. elections

    Well, duh
And frankly, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

FYI, as a cybersecurity expert, I know and see there IS a HUGE cyberwar going on, with Russia & China, being the top 2 instigators. (Iran, NK, etc...for bonus baddies)
They both have MONSTEROUSLY sized state-sponsored teams and hacker contacts, that continuously act.
I get a report TWICE a day, where many times, Russia's name pops up and on quarterly and annual reports too, where they get their own special highlight section.

While China dabbles in foreign manipulation (like Canada just accused), they're just a bunch of thieves. Stealing anything not locked down. (* China's govt NOT Chinese, they're victims too)
Russia however has a new fuck everyone else method, to cause havoc & chaos, having spies, VIPs and hackers all trying to corrupt the US, NATO allies or ANY opposition.

This guy is just one of MANY!
There's a horde of radioactive cockroach manipulators in Russia trying to infect any enemy. (* again, Russia's govt NOT Russians, they're also victims too)

We've got out hands full, both government and corporate, preventing impact & damage.
And it's likely going to get worse.

Because, THIS is only what they admit to. (to intimidate and arrogantly say fuck you)
    And what we "may" know...
BUT there's TONS hidden and what we do NOT know...
    That's the real danger.

Putin’s Doomsday Scenario — The Atlantic

Chemical weapons are not NUKES!

    1. The damage & impact of nukes is much more substantial, both immediate & long-term.

    2. Chemicals aren’t an automatic trigger for the opposition’s chemicals. Nukes ARE. (in most cases, these days)
This is what the M.A.D. Doctrine is all about.

    3. Ukraine could potentially deal with chemicals even if horrible and come back. No chance on Nukes.

    4. Nukes would be the ultimate indication that Putin has gone insane and is fully unstable. As well as any cronies that support it.

No going back if even one is used…

The only benefit nukes have had is the threat of them
    Has prevented another global war.

IMHO, sad that we humans need obliteration as a crutch to keep peace.

Let’s not go down that rabbit hole.
And hopefully, Putin doesn’t become the Red Queen
Even the Mad Hatter was more sane than her.

    Yes, damn straight
Thank goodness that it wasn't another Czechoslovakia
That Z pulled a Churchill and stood up to a tyrant, P.

This will help save the Ukraine.
    Strengthened NATO
Unified Europe, if not most of the rest of the world
    Kept a bully from winning
    Focused the US
    and more...

Just from Z's pure audacity and bravery,
As well as a call to truth, speaking in eloquence yet clear so any rationale person could absorb.
He will go down in history.

Zelenskyy will, but IMO with a note that the entire country stood with him.

The Churchill reference is interesting. In world history Churchill is a strong hero, to a now deceased generation of Brits he was the PM who gave the order to kill striking miners.

I'm firmly behind Zelenskyy & Ukraine, but let's not forget we're discussing a country where getting things done involves questionable (by our too innocent Western standards) wheeling & dealing.

I don't think we understand the accepted & expected "What's in it for me?" attitude that's prevalent in much of the world.

‘We are Ukrainians. We’re strong’: morale the key in Kyiv as winter sets in

Despite Russian bombings, to win in a War of Attrition - leveraging Winter to make the Ukrainians fail.
One thing that Russia may not be foreseeing,
That most of the rest of the world is fully supporting Ukraine. - they won't be isolated.
The world, NATO, UN, etc... can send in Red Cross, Food and other supplies in masse.
And Putin can't do anything about it...even threats and saber rattling are normally used about weapons...not supplies. :p

Putin could do something about it.
    Something drastic.
    Let's hope he doesn't.

US says Russia abruptly postpones arms control talks

Russia decides the agreement with the USA allowing mutual inspections of nuclear arms (SMART) isn't a priority, & indefinitely postpones the Bilateral Consultant Commission meeting.

I very sincerely hope this didn't catch the US by surprise.
