Tech: question about network cables

    I've got a bunch of cat6 and a bunch of rj-45 connectors rated for cat5e. Any reason these wouldn't work together?

    They'll work just fine. You'll get a bit more crosstalk off the 5e ends but it's not likely to matter for most home applications.

    Well the real problem ended up being the cable wouldn't fit into the connector. So it's a bit flimsy. Also the boots I had wouldn't fit because the cat6 is just a hair thicker than cat5e. The cable looks pretty mickey mouse compared to what I used to make in my lan party days.
