Webcam voyeurism/exhibitionism

Has anyone here visited cam chatrooms or performed as a cam model? Have you bought tokens to tip models or earned money from performing? The fascinating culture that exists among the members and models on cam sites receives little mainstream exposure despite the rapidly growing popularity of camming worldwide. Feel free to share any criticism or praise you may have of it and/or recount any experiences you've had, either as a webcam voyeur or as a webcam exhibitionist.

 

I've only seen vids of web cam performances that were posted after-the-fact. Most were clearly staged, the 'pleasure' was fake, so they did nothing for me. There were a few where the models did seem to be actually enjoying doing themselves, usually DIY, sometimes as couples, in front of the cam.

In the world of Sexually Oriented Businesses, web cam performances, alone or with trusted partners, are probably the safest way to make money.

I will watch a webcam not to observe merely sexual pleasure but to be socially engaged with the members in a room conversing with a model who enjoys interacting with them. It's sociologically rewarding to connect live with a group of people who will joke, discuss their lives, and share cool stuff, led by a model or couple who will join in with them (and often don't mind being open about their bodies and sexualities during the whole affair). I've seen models entertain with dance, gymnastics, singing (even classical vocal pop, such as that of Edith Piaf), reading a story or poetry out loud, live streaming Overwatch, composing an oil painting to be shipped to a tipper, watching Pokemon with their room, lecturing on evolutionary biology, and performing costumed impressions of US presidential candidates. When these are done in varying states of undress, they often seem only more captivating.

So how does money exchange hands? I'm assuming that the performers are being paid in some way?

 

Generally, a cam site sells tokens to tippers, models report employment information to the cam site, and the cam site pays models half the cost of all tokens they are each tipped. Cam sites generally award bonuses to models based on their popularity as well.

The cam site mentioned by ralphie250 is popular for watching couples/groups and also provides for individual men and women, both cis and trans.

@POPEYE, if you want to check it out, you could take a look at either site that rogue49 mentions. I want to be particular with suggesting this, because there are a lot of scamming sites that advertise adult webcams, but the two he mentions are popular, reputable businesses.

What's interesting on MFC is that some of the most popular models are ones who rarely (if ever) get naked. Women can make a lot of money just on personality

Kickaz comes to mind. And there is a woman who keeps changing her name who basically plays card games with her fans over the webcam but never even goes down to her underwear

 

I don't think I know either of those models, but I've seen some who do body paint like this Kickaz seems to do and at least one other who I've seen do a very forgiving guess-the-card as an intermediate step in rewarding a certain lowish tip amount.

 

I agree, I just think it's interesting how some of the women have bent that particular economic construct into their favor by essentially breaking the rules of engagement

 

Who would you say are the most talkative nude models you've found?

Of course, some of the busiest rooms on MFC have their hosts talking a lot (recently I've briefly visited rooms like this belonging to MissNoir, MissMolly, and MissReinaT - wow, there's a trend there), but I've enjoyed smaller rooms hosted by very talkative models perhaps even more (such as le_lea, VyAwesome, and WeedPrincess - though she hasn't been taking off a lot of clothing recently).

 

GinnyPotter is very popular and very talkative. On Chaturbate, the couple whose room is called something like "Cooking Bacon Naked" are very chatty and fun.
