Earlier today we watched The Hours, a slow moving, but excellent movie.

What makes this interesting is I didn’t have to sit through 2.5 hours of reruns of shitty TV shows that my wife likes, in this case Bones.

On free antenna TV, the NBC show Chicago Med isn't horrible, it's a step above mediocre. The cast, esp Oliver Platt, & Steven Weber, certainly helps.

Oliver Platt is one of those actors who can make even bad stuff fun to watch.
He's in the same category as Christopher Waken, Malcolm McDowell, and the master Nicolas Cage.
I watched the early seasons of the Chicago cop series and it was much the same way.
The characters were interesting enough, especially the main guy, the writing was consistently strong, and the cast were all acting their asses off.
So it was better than 70% of what was out there.

I agree on Oliver Platt, he's a very talented actor. He reminds me of Ed Harris way back when Harris was Ed who?.

My wife watches Chicago PD (CPD), the new episodes, & the re-runs...which means I see most of them. CPD slowly but surely slipped (deeper?) into the NFW! cesspool. Very much the way Chicago Fire did, except CF started as pretty much as NFW!.

Oh, if anyone in interested the Chicago trio (hey, it's possible, just not probable) they're on free TV on Wed nights on NBC.

    This was a great season.
I never thought I would ever sympathize with Brainiac.

A Man Called Sledge, a really bad spaghetti western that features some well known American actors, namely James Gardner.

A minute ago a guy fired two consecutive rapid shots from a lever action rifle...without working the action.

Actors speaking in Italian...overdubbed by Italians speaking English...with Mexican accents.
