I think having as much money in your command as Elon makes you crazy with a side of narcissist. And generates fear in everyone around you so your thoughts and speech are never countered.

Agree allowing him to dominate communication and space science and tech is very dangerous and illustrates the flaws in private ownership of necessary public infrastructure.
I have this vision of privately owned freeways with private traffic cops forcing people to exit the day after they talk shit about whoever owns the freeway....or in the real world something like how chase bank owns Chicago parking meters and how Chicago is obligated to pay Chase parking fees regardless of road maintenance projects etc...

Anyway yeah, privately owned infrastructure is bad.

Regarding the Israel thing...I've watched more on the history and from Israel perspective...
Two guys talking about the land deals back then...it really sounded like the Israel and global political push was to buy land but the government and real estate ownership recording in Palestine was pretty sketchy at best and really prone to total change at any moment so, realistically any land buys would be extremely fragile to any honest logical eye.
I don't believe the culture groups in Palestine at that time were very strong on land ownership in an equivalent way to western norms.

So, in those times to think you could buy some land and feel 100% confident in your ownership would be self deluding. Add to that the conflict of the cultures you'd be trying to push together... optimistic.
Then add the racism... ugh the soup gets pretty bad in concept.
But I'm an atheist or agnostic and don't believe that any God has entitled any race to any patch of ground on earth, period.
My fam history is Christian/Lutheran and I don't think I can point to any land as my entitled homeland.
I still count myself as mostly illiterate on theocracy and the whole Jewish/Muslim problem so aside from becoming weary of magical thinking fluff, I'm open to learn more.

I think trump and company will try that. BLM rallys and riots, Israel/Palestine rallys and riots, LGBTQ rights events etc...the governmental purging. Don't know how far he'll get but I think he'll try it and I think he's got enough psychos and sadists to put up a good show.
