If you use online (or app) music do you use Pandora, Spotify, YouTube, or something else?

We just switched from Spotify premium to Google Music and it's better. The quality and suggestions and everything are much improved.

Pandora is the only one I've messed with much. Typically I only use it for bike music or pool music. At home I'll put on a vinyl record or play something from my own library. In the car I use Sirius/XM.

The downfall of that is that my "thumbsup" station doesn't have a big enough selection, since most of the time I'm listening to it I'm not able to thumb song up/down.

My daughter uses Pandora and loves it, she introduced me to a bunch of music today, so I may give that one a shot. :) Is Sirius/XM also attached to your Pandora or a separate account? Vinyl oh so nice for mood and sound quality!

Sirius/XM is satellite radio, which I have in my vehicle. So I use that while driving instead of my phone.

I use Spotify almost exclusively now. There's a few oddities where albums are not available, especially artists who have been switching record labels over long careers, but I can almost always find stuff I want plus be linked to new stuff I wasn't aware of.

Google Music is my go-to. I've been able to merge my large music collection on there, including all my jrock. I can access it from anywhere, and I have legal access to new music.

    I just started using Jango.

"Free internet radio, just like Pandora only fewer ads and more variety. Listen to hundreds of genre stations or create your own with your favorite music."

I havent figured out how to really customize playlists (stations) as much as I would like.

  13. I used Pandora for about 5 years, but I have been using Spotify exclusively for about 6 years now and I think it keeps getting better.

I have only rarely wanted to listen to something and it was not available on the platform. I think the algorithms and ability to have it specifically make you playlists of things you haven't heard and to monitor when the artists you like come out with new material is also very handy.

The ease of use and seamless transition between my living room, the shower, my car, or work via the app is also super neat.

As a player for files on my phone I use Music Folder Player. Because I like to build a directory and brows the files in folders I made. Also I like how it's got playback speed control with or without pitch correction, reverb and preamp control if you pay for it.

For online music I surf the net for places I can download free DJ remixes etc. And I also built a playlist on utube. Utube may not be the greatest choice but it serves me and so far helps avoid learning another thing.
I use audacity to record anything that plays on my desktop if I can't find a better way to get a song assuming I can't buy it.
Most recent site I've looked at is bandcamp.

I use TuneIn. It's pretty good except for all the commercials. You can get premium.
