Interesting article on how Big Pharma pumped a shit load of dark money into the effort to kill off the Affordable Care Act.
Those fuckers are up there with the insurance companies as people I would like to send to the reeducation camps come the revolution.
I just don't know if it is possible to turn pond scum into decent human beings (or is that an insult to pond scum?)

I have to wonder if Mueller is going to look into Snowden and Manning to see if the Russian government gave any assistance to them in order to hurt Hillary and the Democrats? Hillary was in charge of the State Department when Manning released the documents, and I'm not sure if people blamed "the government" or "Obama and the Democrats" for the metadata stuff, but it was constantly in the news. How much assistance did Russia give to Wikileaks, or were they just dripping out the leaks to make more money for themselves without regard to who was controlling the narrative?

This is supposedly translated from a German magazine:
The Kremlin Admits Snowden is a Russian Agent
(in German: Kreml gibt zu | Snowden ist ein Russen-Agent )

This was written before the 2016 election, but with the Manafort trial coming to a close, it is interesting to read it again:
Clinton campaign — and some cyber experts — say Russia is behind email release

Kremlin Sources Go Quiet, Leaving C.I.A. in the Dark About Putin’s Plans for Midterms

    What is happening??
    We're being attacked...that's what's happening.

And not just the US...but everyone. (although the US is a favorite target...but Russia has a plethora of favs)

And we're just sitting here whacking off...

Even the ones that do care are either floundering or being restricted by rules and laws
that the current Administration is enforcing to repress action
or Congress with no spine or agenda to act to change it.

Meanwhile we've got one nation Bamboozling us...and others stealing us blind, left & right.

We've got to lock down our toys and tools.
    There's no murder or maiming
But it IS affecting the stability and capacity of ALL target nations.

    We've got to ACT
    Be on top of it
    Fund it
    Authorize it
    Be proactive

Because Russia, China, Iran and otherwise are acting like termites on our house, our cites, our people, our businesses, our nations
And sooner or later...the whole thing will collapse on itself.

    You think I'm exaggerating???
I've got an inside track on the tip of the iceberg...you should see the list of DAILY attacks that are happening.
And this is JUST what I'm seeing and what's shown, revealed or EVEN simply found.

    Sure, ignore it...explain it off.
Bad guys like it when you do that...it doesn't stop them.
    And then...it's gone.
    Damage done.
    Say bye bye.

50 people dead in overnight bus crash in western Kenya
    Knee-Jerk???
    Reactionary?

I guess you can spin anything these days.
This IS what's happening in our politics.
    No ethics
    Pure audacity
Say anything to make even the most truly bad thing sound "wrong"

We need to get back to when lies were LIES
    And there was shame.
Shame about saying things that could literally hurt people or get them hurt.

I don't know, maybe the commentator was saying that the lawmakers were quick to make the laws but then didn't do anything to back them up ("quickly forgotten").
It's fine to have speeding laws but if you don't put police out on the roads to enforce the law it is pointless.
Solving problems like these often take changing the way things are done rather then just making new laws.
Often the night buses are necessary because the people have to travel long distance for jobs.
G-d forbid the lawmakers have a word with the companies who are taking advantage of the work force who have to make these long trips.

    Opinion | Our Constitutional Emergency
    That's a good question...
How much of a responsibility is it for PEOPLE to have a good government???
    Voting?
    Paying attention?
Holding reps, administration and government accountable?
Voting for the good of the nation?
    Voting for ALL??

How much of an investment or being engaged is needed on top of dealing with typical life ups & downs???

Aren't the reps supposed to rep? That's their job, isn't it?

Obvious, they can run amuck ...so there has to be SOME public check. (not just laws and rules)

Are we doing our own responsibility to vote?? ...and consider the facts and consequences
Or is it just all passion???
    And our own simple preference...

Brexit Mess Reflects Democracy’s New Era of Tear-It-All-Down

    Is this anger or anarchy?
    Or both??
    Or otherwise...

I've never voted in anger or spite.
I've always got a little of the background...what's really going on.

If you're going to vote to burn whomever...who are you to blame when it backfires??

    Voting should be like driving
You gotta know where you're driving and you gotta watch the road.

    Sorry, it ain't so simple.
Even though it's a flip of a switch...it's NOT a "that was easy" button.

Maybe the founding father were right...to restrict voting to established people. Not trust the masses...
Or if we have a driving test, then we have a voting test. (with periodic license updates ) **JK, BTW

Maybe we just do our friggin' jobs as citizens.
    And don't vote in spite.

    Be productive, not destructive.

It is anger that the "elites" are living a great life and showing off, while at the same time allowing poor people from foreign countries to come in and depress wages and make it so there are plenty of people willing to replace you if you mess up.

Add in some racism and political correctness, along with a monetary policy that doesn't reward saving and fiscal responsibility, it becomes a mess for the people at the bottom. Transportation is cheap now too, so finding a partner is much harder too since the men/women around you can look far away for someone better than you and don't have to settle.

Hey...it's happening across the pond... (y'know. the other areas of the planet other than the US??)
European Election Results Show Growing Split Over Union’s Future

Americans tend to get self-centered these days, IMHO (y'know there was a time where they wanted to be them...or they came here...or the US was interested in Europe a LOT more)

But it looks like there's a bit of a tug of war for the heart and direction of Europe as a whole.
And Russia throwing water balloons into the midst of the debate with glee and malicious intent. (like some Dick Dasterdly...except the plan is working this time)
And America's not engaged and got its head up its ass politically.

I do hope they're able to get what they want. Without disturbing the rest of the world.
We deserve some peace and stability everywhere...but I don't think we're going to get it anytime soon.

Activists project Trump vs. Obama approval ratings on Tower of London during state visit
A British activist group projected the country's approval ratings of President Trump and former President Obama on the Tower of London during Trump's state visit to the United Kingdom.

"Led By Donkeys," a progressive, anti-Brexit activist group, posted a photo of the projection on Twitter, which shows Obama's approval rating at 72 percent and Trump's at 21 percent in the U.K.

Giant Trump Robot On Toilet Put Up By London Protesters

A 16-foot robot, depicting U.S. President Donald Trump sitting on a golden toilet and tweeting, greeted Londoners on Tuesday (June 4) in Trafalgar Square.

Placed between the National Gallery and the Nelson Column, the giant robot – called “Dumping Trump” – emits farting noises and talks about “fake news”.

The creator of the giant robot, Don Lessem, is a dinosaur expert who served as an advisor on the Hollywood blockbuster Jurassic Park, according to U.S. media reports.

“It’s a tribute to Trump in all his greatness. We wanted to make something that captures what he does all day, which is sit on the toilet and tweet vulgar things. And we actually… it’s like a Trojan horse, we have all of (London Mayor) Sadiq Khan’s family hidden inside here and they’re going to come out during the protest,” Lessem told Reuters on Tuesday.
