    Right now, I’m chillin
Drinking, Rogue - Dead Mans Ale
Push my karma during the weirdness

Kettle chips & guacamole to complement

    Later for dinner
I’m making Ricotta Gnocchi with Shredded chicken and Truffle, Porcini & cream sauce

Starting to express my gourmet skill more
Bringing together the different tastes than making everything from scratch

    I’m still a lazy bastard...corrupt too
But besides sloth my major deadly sin is gluttony ;)

  3. Wife and I made bruschetta tonight as an appetizer to chops and rice with veggies.
    The meal was amazing.
I'd like to post the ingredients but I'm already in bed. Lol

About OMAHA, I asked about their steak, what GRADE?
    They either couldn't or wouldn't tell me...so I tried a few...just OK.

What does the premium specialty meat, say rib eye steak, cost per pound by grade?

I've got some prices, but the meat is the better quality Alberta beef, so the prices may be higher than what you are used to:

Certified Angus Beef Tenderloin: $61.71/Kg (427.99/lb)
Certified Angus Beef Boneless Rib Steak: $39.66/Kg ($17.99/lb)
Certified Angus Beef Striploin: $39.66/Kg ($17.99/lb)
Canada Prime (highest, most marbled grade) Striploin $48.48/Kg ($21.99/lb)
Canada AAA Striploin (not as marbled as Prime, but highest quality): $35.25/kg ($15.99/lb)

(these are regular grocery store prices)

    Hope this helps

That's very helpful. Makes me think the higher grade marbled rib eye at $11.99 # (pre covid-19 price) at Sam's Club isn't so bad.

I can only imagine what prices the specialty meat markets in the US charge.

I will eat tonight whatever my husband happens to cook. If he doesn't cook, I will make a sandwich. We have sourdough. Sourdough toast makes delicious sandwiches.
