Rudy Giuliani’s Legal Defense Fund Has Raised $9,590 (Just $4,990,410 to Go!)

    Only $4,990,410 to go.

The FBI stuff is a bit harder to figure out. It will make groups on both sides a lot more paranoid about new members and even existing members who aren't the typical demographic. And while some paranoia might slow down the extremists, it will also become a lot harder to infiltrate in the future now.

    Where the popcorn?
This IS going to get interesting…

I wonder if Pelosi will add 3 more anti-Trumpers
To make it the same amount as selected by McC.

Good way to give the spotlight to those who aren’t hitting war drums.

D.C. Police Officer shares disturbing voicemail he received while testifying in front of 1/6 Select Committee Tuesday

Let's hear it for the brave guy.

Shame on those still victimizing him.
    Just disgusting.

Justice Dept: Republican Rep. Mo Brooks may be sued over Jan. 6 speech to Trump supporters — The Washington Post

The smack down is slowly coming
There may be consequences for poor choices instigating violence against the public, the police, officials and the Federal Government

    It’s called “Sedition”
And you’re about to understand it’s meaning when you choose to ignore it.

This was NOT about fighting tyranny
    This was about SUPPORTING tyranny
    Big diff.

Just because you didn’t get what you wanted in a fair vote,
Choosing to believe lies & conspiracies
    You chose violence and rebellion

    NOT against injustice
But just because you’re all sore fuckin’ losers.

    Stop kicking & screaming
    Take your medicine.

GOP lawmaker Mo Brooks admits he wore body armor at Jan. 6 Trump rally, and says he was tipped off to 'risks'

Ahhh, you were tipped off, eh???
Please hang him up by his tooties, until he says who.

    He needs anyway, IMHO

While I was more than 15 hours away from DC on Jan 6th, even I heard about the event. The Pod Save America podcast even warned people a few days ahead of time to stay out of DC and that it was going to get crazy. Left wing groups didn't organize counter protests because they feared that the anger and violence would be directed at them first I remember seeing posted online the weekend before Jan 6th.

But, I still worry that the right didn't have a change of heart and think that what they did was wrong, only that their strategy was ineffective. Had they stormed the state houses in Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, it might have turned out differently. Either just by preventing them from sending in the electoral college ballots in time, or by preventing the GOP majority in the state houses from wanting to certify the election. And I don't know what happens the first time that happens in this country. I think we were lucky that it didn't just come down to one state in this last election actually.

Trump to acting AG, according to aide’s notes: ‘Just say the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me’ — The Washington Post

    Wow, this is a doozy!
I wonder if any consequence will come from this???

I guess they’ll finish the investigation first
    Then start drilling down further

Except he was already impeached for this.
But impeachments don’t mean he can’t be prosecuted and held accountable.

Impeachment just kicks them out of office
There needs to be another phase

That portion can happen whether in office or not.
    Let’s hope

Judge asks why Capitol riot damage restitution is $1.5 million when cost to taxpayers is $500M

    Good question
I don't understand why they are playing softball...
Unless, they're catering some the GOP

Normally the GOP is about punishment...but here they want to ignore and tamp down the crime as much as possible.
Make ya a bet some Reps & Senators pulled some strings or coaxed them to not hit them hard.

Then again, the Biden administration is playing softball a bit to get Infrastructure and other agendas funded.

It's obvious, this judge is pissed, rightly so.
It IS about Justice, after all.

I rated it useful hoping that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton will land in boiling water over his lawsuit. Which I consider even more frivolous because the State of Texas had zero/no business getting involved in other state's elections. It was pure Trump Ass Kissing, an abuse of power, misuse of office, etc.

Nothing will happen to Paxton in Texas (at least not related to the 2020 presidential election), but hopefully he'll get nailed at the federal level. If such a ridiculous lawsuit had been filed in an effort to help a Democratic candidate, the folks responsible would have been lynched.

Then-CIA Director Gina Haspel said Trump's post-election behavior was 'insanity' and he was 'acting out like a 6-year-old with a tantrum,' book says

The Bob Woodward book is starting to gain momentum and attention...
T is going to have a hard time dismissing him...he's a scion of media since he helped take down Nixon.

And things and doubts are starting to trickle out more
His allies are starting to get prosecuted and sued (Giuliani, Stone, Proud Boys, etc...)
The GOP is starting to be quiet and shy away. (just the VIPs, not the base...who is being impacted by Covid19 and their own extremism)

It will be slow water torture...death by a 1000 cuts...a slow trouncing...one defeat and insult after another...
If he doesn't go to jail, he'll go even more mad...a pariah.

Unless the Dems screw up somehow, which they could...but right now, they're slowly turning the screw. (justifiably so)

    One can only hope.
But it's certainly an interest play in human dynamic, to say the least.
Historians and sociologists love this crap.
The rest of us havta sweat.

Georgia criminal probe into Trump's attempts to overturn 2020 election quietly moves forward — CNN Politics

As said, bit by bit…drip, drip, drip…

    Not only this probe
    But don’t forget
    - New York
    - The House 1/6 committee
    - The Federal Government overall - DOJ etc
    - IRS

And I think Scotland is going after him too

    Any I forgot myself???
    It all blurs together

Does he have enough $$$ for enough lawyers for THAT long???
I don’t think they even have to be “good” lawyers

But he certainly shouldn’t represent himself.
But I would luv to see it.
(Or at least read about it…I can’t watch anything with him talking *cringe* *shiver*)

I don't see Conman Trump dying from a thousand cuts. As long as he is Teflon coated with his base, the wimpy GOP will embrace him.

His serious and permanent fall will requires getting smashed by a sledgehammer. Possibly more than once.

More Trump Organization indictments are coming after prosecutors found more damning evidence in a basement.

    Trump corporate attorney: Someone flipped

This is like taking down a Mafia family.

Which doesn’t surprise me, since Don got trained by both a ruthless slumlord and later a mafia adviser
    - His father and Roy Cohn.

Much less, being closely connected to a long time pedophile hedge fund billionaire.

His “techniques” and MO are almost cliche.

The only thing he’s not done is killed or maimed people.
So he’s ethically good that way???

Financially, he’s as corrupt as it comes.
Wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a Bernie Madoff like scenario mixed in with all this.

    It’s all unraveling…

AND the Feds are slowly building a insurrection case.
But make ya a bet, they’ll nail him on that AFTER the financial scam case is done.
When the GOP will be more willing to throw him under the bus.

It’s all about timing when ya strike…

Opinion | Durham Cracks the Russia Case — The Wall Street Journal

    Uhhh, no
    Call me incredibly skeptical
    I don’t think so

To somehow turn this around onto The Clinton Campaign???

That’s topsy-turvy of everything we’ve read, seen and experienced so far.

It’s almost like the original Clinton investigation which they went from White Water to an affair and blowjob triggering an impeachment.
    Total overreach.

And here it seems a white wash and redirect.
A decoy? Smoke and mirrors? IDK, but certainly very skewed, if not a prosecutor going after the wrong target. (something that happens often by incompetence or agenda)

So IMHO, another waste of time and $$$
    Mueller punted and whiffed it.
This guy ran the ball to the wrong goaline. (maybe on purpose, considering he was hired by Trump himself…a serious conflict of interest)

This whole thing has been a cluster fuck
And shows we have HUGE holes in our system of checks. (Especially if the person of interest IS the president)

    Nixon stepped down
    Trump could care less.

So what happened when the President doesn’t give a shit???
Thank goodness we didn’t have a more sane and competent prez and administration.

God knows what could have happened…

Report Cites New Details of Trump Pressure on Justice Dept. Over Election

And how is this surprising???
If anyone was paying attention, they could see it played out, right at the time.

The only thing we're doing here is proving it.
Letting the media replay it again.

And now with Bannon voted on to be held in contempt for defying the subpoena from the committee
Hopefully there will be forward movement and actual action.

This where I wish the Dems were like the GOP...to aggressively and consistently punish those transgressing and being corrupt. ...the Dems always linger. (and backpeddle)
Unfortunately, the GOP goes after the wrong thing...NOT for corruption, but for any party opposition instead.

will he have access to alcohol?
