I'd be pretty sure it's a fake. Look at the photo. It looks like it was taken without his specific cooperation, by a co-worker. If it was real, I'm sure he would have managed a better photo.

I can barely type this for laughing. Judging by the terminology I would say that this is English. A 'slap up meal' is what we English would term posh or extravagant. Not sure if it's exclusive to a particular region, or even if it's common in other countries of the UK, but definitely from this side of the pond. At a guess I would say that it's more southern England than anything.

I can't see this been real, my vote is that it's one for the prank file, and a damn good prank at that. Poor bloke though, you've got to kind of feel sorry for him.
