				Tribeca Film Festival!

			Hi all,

Abaya and I are thinking of going up to NY this weekend (May 6th/7th) and catching some movies currently playing at the Tribeca Film Festival. We were wondering if anyone was going to the festival? It would be cool to meet some TFPers in real life . Also, since there are so many movies playing.. Does anybody have any suggestions?(Mods, I placed this on the General Discussion board because I see some meetup threads here; and frankly, given the short notice, I'm afraid this thread would be 'invisible' in the Northeast message board. However, feel free to move it if you feel it's necessary. Thanks!) |

Ooooh, we like ribs. Well, ktspktsp loves ribs. I love pulled pork sandwiches, though the two usually go together, so no problem!

Hey all... we've got our movies picked out, so now we know when we're free to meet up! (though we'll miss Jess, Quadro, and amonkie; hope to see you guys on a return trip!)

So we've got a movie on Fri night around 8pm-10pm, then on Saturday morning from 10am-noon, and again at 2-3:30ish. We are hoping to check out the street fair on Saturday between showings... and/or meet up with you all for lunch? Dinner could work for us too, on Saturday. What works for everyone else?

I can either do the Friday night movie (plus dinner before or afterward maybe?) or the Saturday morning movie, but I have work at 1pm so I can't stay for lunch or anything.

I've gone to a couple screenings at Tribeca so far. It's really hit or miss because so many of them are so new and unheard of. I can get a bunch of free tickets for people, but they're for screenings tommorrow and I think on Saturday for some crappy times, like 12:30pm-5:00pm.

That and the fact that i'll be on a film shoot friday and saturday all day kind of curtail my participation further. Still, if anyone wants to get those free tickets let me know and maybe we can work something out. There's about 10 different movies i can get tickets too. |
