I know its barely Wedsnesday but I've already been drinking and smoking an unheatlhy amount of cigarettes. I've done a post like this before and it got some good responses so once again...

All those that will share a drink with me tonight lets make it worth something. Lets raise our glasses to something or someone that has changed and effected us recently. Tonight lets make it count for something...

I raise my beer to my grandfather who I buried a couple of weeks ago and who allowed me to see the weak side that everyone so hard tries to hide.

I raise my glass to the one woman who has broken my heart but only because it is what she really needed. I don't want to let go but life has so far decided it as so. I hope she is happy with whatever and whoever she is doing.

I raise my glass to the children I help on a daily basis that all mental handicaps aside I hope one day they will become a valuable member of society.

I raise my glass to all those who will raise their glass with me today, because in all of us it is not only a moment a sadness but also a moment of celebration.

C'mon folks lets toast this desert life of ours.

This may sound dumb but....

I raise my glass to the wonderful person on freecycle that provided me today with the most perfect christmas tree for free, it was exactly what I wanted (yes I put it up when I got home just to check it out) and saved my pre surgery jittery sanity.

I also raise my glass to the girls on the plastic surgery support board who are virtually holding my hand to help get me thru one of the most life changing experiences a woman can have.

I raise my glass to my new step-grandson, born this evening at 7:26pm. I wish him the best despite the parents god has given him. I wish for him a better life than that of his parents.

I raise my glass to my step-daughter on the birth of her first child. May he change her life for the better and help her to realize how important a good life is. May the drugs and irresponsible behavior be a thing of the past.

I know I sound negative and bitter, but I am so fearful for this little baby. We didn't raise her like this.
