Will be exciting to see this new bird's premier. Entirely new construcion method and materials. Lots of composite and carbon fiber. Boeing has 'farmed' out construction of major components to firms worldwide. Kind of a worldplane. My son's beginning his career as a commercial pilot, someday he could be flying this. :woot:

I'm a big fan of the Dreamliner's fuel efficiancy as well; 20% better fuel consumption than any other aircraft in it's class. The A380 has so far turned out to be a bit of a dud, so let's hope Boeing can really shave things up and light a fire under Airbus's ass.

With the US auto industry taking such big hits, its kind of nice to see Boeing still leading the way in the commercial aviation field.
