The 10-month-old girl survived the 80-foot fall, crashing through several tree branches before landing on the ground. She suffered only cuts and bruises.

Police said Willie Williams barged into his ex-girlfriend's apartment late Saturday in a bid to persuade her to get back together with him.

Police said they argued and Williams dangled the baby out a window. The mother called 911 and Williams dropped the girl, police said.

"Oh, my God!" police quoted the mother as telling the 911 operator. "He killed my baby."

Williams then left the apartment, grabbed the baby and drove her to a nearby hospital.

Williams was charged with attempted murder, assault and unlawful imprisonment. He was in jail awaiting arraignment late Monday. It was unclear whether he had retained a lawyer.

Why is it that most of the news that's posted here comes from Fark? Fark is my home page...... I read all this stuff before I come here, not that I'm bitching...... It's just funny to go through the Fark stuff, then come here to see what's up and that 90% of the "news" is stuff I just read at Fark.

What a jackass. Hope they give him similiar treatment...let's see, he's what, 7 times the baby's size, probably? Drop him from 560' and we'll see what happens then! Either way, glad the baby is OK, and hope that its mother gets her life together.

Actually, I saw the article on CNN.com first.

In fact, I read this article and thought "what a fucked up situation!" It could have been much worse, though.

I learned from Carl Sagan (either "Broca's Brain" or "Dragons of Eden") that smaller creatures can survive falls because of their lower body weight. That's why squirrels, birds, chipmunks, cats, etc., walk away from falls that would splatter an adult human, large dog, cow, pig, etc.

hey, i got this from the Something Awful Forums thank you very much!!!!!!1 also, saw it first on Cnn.com, thought it was nuts. I'm sorry that many many people saw it as well and at least one of them sent it to fark. wait, im not sorry about that at all.
