getting married in vegas in july!!!

while i was out in vegas last week, i asked my girlfriend to marry and she said yes, soooo we're going back in july to get married!!!! we've checked out a ton of wedding chapels in vegas but just aren't sure which one to choose. we are looking at spending less than $500 on the ceremony since it's not our first marriage and we just can't spend that much cash on it. we got the flight out there for free cause we got bumped returning home!!! so...any of ya'll gotten married in vegas??? if so, which chapel did ya use? THANKS A TON!!!

First, congratulations! That's fantastic!

As much as I go to Vegas, I've never been to a wedding chapel there. I do know that most hotels have their own chapels and will arange ceremonies, etc. but I have no idea of the cost.

My feeble suggestion is google. Sorry.

I personally have never considered a wedding in Vegas either romantic or special. Seems fast & cheap and plastic.

But that's only one opinion....mine. Guess it's a big business there.

we've both been married before and could care less about a "normal, status quo" wedding. vegas is what we want....and vegas is what we're doing! it is fast and cheap (monetarily)....doesn't mean it isn't romantic or special! it's a perfect place for us to get married...it's our favorite vacation spot!

Congrats my brother! I'm sure that whatever place you guys chose will be perfect. Where are you planning on staying for the Honeymoon? Going to get a Honeymooner's Suite at the Mandalay Bay?

Grats!

I did not marry in Vegas, but did in Tahoe.

There used to be a wedding chapel in the embassy suites (gone now)

We had a minister, procession, music, and BM and MOH. It was great. My family and her family were totally different, not to mention, she was pregnant

It was a GREAT THING and every time we go to a wedding, we laugh and the couple all stressed out!

BTW, my second, her FIRST wedding.

I like TI, especially since they rebranded it about 3 years ago. It's aimed much more at young singles now than families.

You might want to look off The Strip or at older properties. I like the Riveria, but that's me. The Hard Rock is most definitely cool, and Red Rocks is nowhere near LV Blvd, but it's a great place and has fantastic restaurants. You could also try the Rio or the Stratosphere. You might be able to find deals there.

And congratulations to you both, Warren and soon-to-be Mrs. Warren.

Mrs. Hat and I got remarried at the Elvis Chapel in Vegas in 2004 for our 10th anniversary. Don't know as that would be my thing for a first wedding, but if getting married by Elvis floats your boat, it's a lot of fun.

Congradulations!

I have no worthwhile suggestions, as I've only been to Vegas twice, and wasn't in search of a chapel.

Those exist?

Congrats man! I hope it all goes wonderfully and it all works out for you! (finding the chapel and such, I know the marriage will be great!)

i know this is an old thread but i felt like updating it!

we got married at the belleza chapel that sits just north of the sahara, one block off the strip. it was fabulous! we had 19 fly out for the ceremony, only 5 family! our friends rule!

we just celebrated our one year anniversary with a trip to vegas, of course!!!!

great times as always and thanks again for your help and congrats in this thread!!!
