Who uses Seamless Web?

As a resident of a popular metropolitan area, I have the convenience of delivery at my fingertips!

SeamlessWeb is Now Feeding

Seamless Web is an online food ordering website that puts a bunch of restaurants into a single portal. You put your address in, select a restaurant that is open and close to your home, add items from their menu to your order, and pay - tip and all. A little while later, your food arrives - you sign for it and eat.

It is awesome, really. Every night, I order a different dish from a different restaurant. I find restaurants that are new to the site and order from them, specifically because I want to encourage even more restaurants to join up.

There have been good meals and bad meals, but always great service. One time, I ordered and my meal was delivered 3 minutes later. I'm not exaggerating. Another time, I ordered and my meal didn't come at all. I filed a complaint, was reimbursed by the service with NO hassle, and the restaurant offered me a free order the following day as an apology.

If you live or work in a coverage area, I encourage you to try it out.

Hardly anything in DC. 4 Asian restaurants where I work. They could easily gain more followers and possibly more restaurants if their site was a little bit more friendly to sufers, rather than just signer uppers.

I've seen it used a couple times while staying at my friend's in Midtown manhattan. It's ridiculously easy and convenient, and the delivery was usually pretty fast.
No complaints here.

I'd use it or a service like it in a heartbeat. But there isn't anything reliable here and I think it's too spread out for delivery services in my city.

In Rochester, NY we had "to go taxi" which worked under the same principle. I really enjoyed it, and would order probably once a week or so from a variety of places.

Yeah, we had something similar to that amonkie here in Atlanta many moons ago. It went under or something and I've not found anything like it since.

I agree. I was interested in the Chicago restaurants, but I have to register to see them.

Nothing in Raleigh, NC ... or NC for that matter. Maybe it's because here we have very few independent restaurants as opposed to chains.

Yeah, I use it when I work late. Before Seamless Web I used to just pull the same menu or two out of my drawer if I was ordering in. SW lets me choose from a much much wider array of places.

This convenience is one of the compensations for living in this crowded, noisy, expensive city.

They service Chicago, but apparently not the suburbs. Nothing near me.

So I have to sign up and start the ordering process before I can see where I can order from? Least user-friendly interface I've seen in a long time.

This site (in Sydney) has been operating a business for a while. I remember it existing *before* the web became popular:

Home delivery - Cuisine Courier food delivery to your door - Chinese food

I've used it a few times many moons ago.
