I was linked to tilted from the dissident philosophy forum. I think they included tilted in their links because of the little philosophy section here.

Has anyone here had the misfortune of going there? :paranoid:

Yes, I have. Reason why there is a link there is because the admin of that forum came here and tried to recruit members with some nonsensical but educated sounding phrases and sound bites.

She was easily overwhelmed by people who saw through her charade of discussion as her talking points were not comprehensible discussion. I went there to see what and where she was coming from and low and behold I started to understand the charade and flaws of her discussion.

Why did I go there, and try to read that drivel? Now my head hurts. I've become spoiled by intelligent discussion, both here and at the JREF. I can't take stupid anymore.

My experience exactly. It's not really a place for discussion as it is a soapbox for confused thought masquerading as philosophy.

^^Dude, I'm anything BUT philosophical. In fact, I fucking hate philosophy. It does nothing to soothe my materialistic view of the world.

Philosophy is complicated hypothetical thoughts strung together to answer a "what if" that no one asked. You should know by now I have no such dynamic to my life. I like life simple so I can either eat it, fuck it, or wear it on my sleeve.

If they had anyone over there worth taking, I'd offer the admin a trade for Xerxys.

I wonder how one would characterize a pedophile as: a criminal or just insane?

I post there sometimes and can moderate and admin if I want, but I don't mod or admin except for my own posts. I get an exceptional amount of Freedom of expression there, but since many people can mod and admin there - well it's again exceptional that I don't get banned or anything. As as philosophy goes, would you like to talk some Plato and such, or prefer a bit of Eastern philosophy?
