Toddler crashes dad's car twice in four days

A motor mad three-year-old German boy has crashed his father's car twice in four days.

Police in the western town of Borken say the boy used a ladder to steal the keys to his father's car.

After starting it up, he ploughed it into a nearby car, causing about 5,000 euros of damage but escaping unharmed.

When a television crew came to their home in the town of Bocholt near the Dutch border to reconstruct the incident four days later, the young lad took matters into his own hands.

Sitting behind the wheel with the car key given to him during filming, his urge to drive overtook him again.

"The father was with the television crew," Borken police spokesman Frank Rentmeister said.

"The car was in gear and the boy just started up and drove into the car ahead."

The boy was not hurt but chalked up further damages totalling about 1,000 euros.

Police are now investigating the father for criminal negligence.

You can't start an automatic in gear, and I have my doubts as to whether a three-year-old could reach and operate the clutch; even if he did, I doubt he could drop it without stalling.

I'm seeing a hoax debunking coming up sometime in the near future.

Sorry for going off-topic, and for being a pedantic arsehole, but I just found this too amusing to ignore.

sed·i·ment
n.
1. Material that settles to the bottom of a liquid; lees.
2. Solid fragments of inorganic or organic material that come from the weathering of rock and are carried and deposited by wind, water, or ice.

I think the word you're looking for is "sentiments" :P

Crazy

There's no way I could have gotten away with it the first time. And there's no way I'd have even thought about trying it again even if my dad gave me the keys.

I don't know what the dad was thinking giving him the keys again. They should have shot the segment without them. The kid should get a damn good reason not to do it again after he watches his dad gets the same reason.

just a note before I say anything else : http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...hlight=posting

That being said, children can get into anything if unsupervised. This is why we "childproof" our surroundings to keep them safe. I know it's impossible to keep your eyes on the little ones 24/7, but the first time was something completely avoidable. The second time, well... let's chalk that up to shear stupidity.

I have seen this happen with one of my friends. His son got into his fathers 4x4 and started it . It was in gear and when the ignition was turned the jeep jumped forward into the back of the house
