Moderator Applications
 

This is an open call for all moderator wanna-bes. You fill out the form, PM it to me, and the staff will take a vote. Simple as that.

Moderator duties:
Policing the board, making sure everyone is behaving
Cleaning up the board, clearing out dead or redundant posts
Customer Service, answering questions and helping newbies

Moderator perks:
Being a mod is what you make of it. With the right attitude, you could find yourself advancing quickly through the ranks. You get the respect of your peers, which happens to be everyone on the board.

Little note:
Some of you might be feeling a little wary of the position right now. You would like to participate, but you're not sure what to expect. One way to look at it is as if you're getting in on the ground floor of an organization that has some serious promise. I can tell you right now that we're poised to make 2 large expansions of the community within the next month, so this is a main reason why we're bulking up on staff. One thing I wanna remind you all about is that your position as a moderator should come secondary to your place in the community. Enjoy first, work second.

couple notes I wanna add...

1. Mods will be required to pop into the irc channel quite frequently so they can stay atop of everything going on

2. If you don't get picked, don't take it personally. It's becoming apparent with the volume of applications that there are gonna be a few hard calls.

I think all the future mods should quit even before they even get started. That would really throw the whole works into chaos. <p>Just kidding may the best suckers, umm applicants win.

I just want to reiterate what Hal said:

I know for myself and I'm sure most of the other mods it's been very very hard to decide who we want to work with most. Extremely hard. So, not being picked does not mean we don't think highly of you by any means. Just want to make sure that's understood cause I know that as we come to decisions it's going to be very hard.
