21 Birthday
 

My 21st birthday is on saturday, and I have really never drank a whole lot and am having a party. What is worth buying and what is worth drinking? Also how much should i expect to buy for 9-10 people?

you might ask around, people drink all sorts of things. lots of people don't even like beer at all, so getting a lot of beer might not even help you.

Get some grape vodka - Spinach_Indeed says its wonderful.

er... get some vodka, some juices (lemonade, orange juice, etc) for mixers. If you want to get drunk just get a bunch of hard alcohol (not flavoured though, its evil). Beer works, but doesnt taste as good as a mixed drink.

Wine is good as a sipping thing, as is some kahlua and other drinks, but Im guessing the purpose of your night is to get stinking.

So good luck, have someone else drive, be safe, and get trashed.

And post something while your drunk so we can laugh at you... at least take pictures...

Segrams 7 and 7up, called 7&7 it's one of my favs.

Vodka and any citrus mix cant go wronge.

Crown Royal or Jack Daniels and coke.

Rum and coke.

Margaritas.

Shots of any type, but dont mess with Liquid Cocain, 3 Kings, or Goldshloger (those will MESS you up).

Broilermaker (Red Bull in a beer mug, and drop in a shotglass of Jagermeister), very good.

Jello shots are always favs. of the women, very important to keep them happy.

Since it is for a party get a cooler and make a lot of something. Vodka and lemonade are always favs at my parties.

It all depends on how much cash you're willing to throw away at this party, and how many people you're expecting to show up. The worste thing that can happen at a party is running out of alcohol, but at the same time you dont want to throw away money.

I enjoy jello shots- I had creamsicle one time- I don't know quite how to make that. I think you get orange jello and add a vanilla whipped cream to the top.

I also like Rumplemintz and Duck Farts- both shot drinks.

But it's up to you- it's what kind of flavor you like!

I'd say you're safe with mixed drinks with vodka or rum. but mix them yourself, if your friends are like mine they're going to try to make you waaaay too drunk ;)

Don't forget tequilla.

Shots. I had a cranberry and vodka for my first legal drink, then I had a beer.

Of course, I got so trashed that I couldn't lift my head a week earlier off of grape KoolAid (lots of sugar added), strawberry juice and Everclear. It was really sweet and you couldn't taste any of the alcohol. It might have been the 1/2 bottle of RumbleMinz that did me in beforehand though... heh heh. Good times. :D

Don't go nuts. Starts slow and find eventuallly what you like. Start with some beer first. Coronas and Sam Adams are great. Taste great but not over the top as far as alcohol is concerned.

Long Island Ice Tea and Amaretto Sour.

As for beer, go for Coors!
For a party, Jello Shots are the BEST! Who doesnt like Jello Shots??

On my 21'st, I managed to escape from my 'handlers' and I ended up crashing a wedding reception and drinking with the groom :)

Oh, and you are going to get sick, almost everybody does. Make sure you drink a LOT of water during the night.

When you wake up the next day, eat a couple tums, take some advil, and drink a couple glasses of water, even if you feel sick.

Oh, oops, I guess I posted this too late. Anyway, tell us how it went.

You can't go worng with cheap beer, you can get a 12 pack for 6.50 :)

But she's a good friend and I let her live it down a few years later when I shed the car and didn't have to look at the stains any more.
