Post your Pacakging Woes!

Ok,
What is with all these little wires in all the packages now. They can not be that worried that their little "Power Ranger" or the remote Control ATV is going to come sliding out of the box. Now adays it takes longer to get the damn thing out of the packaging than it does to put it together! My 4 yr old got so much stuff with these little wire this year that it took me 3 hours to unpackage it all. I don't know how they can be making any money at all when they have to hire all these people to wire all this shit together. I mean they don't just wire the body of an action figure to the box, they wire each hand, each foot, one around the body, one around the chest, and one around the head. Each one takes 2-3 minutes to unwire, so it must take them double that to wire them in, not counting the cost of the wire they use, the plastic that they have to put behind thew wire to keep it from coming through the box, and then the tape they put over that!!! Come on it would most likely be cheaper if they used less packaging and actually lost a few toys.

My niece got a barbie dolll.. this barbie doll, apparently into the whole bondage thing.. had a wire on each hand, a wire around her waist, a wire on her heck, a wire on each ankle and her hair was stiched down in some plastic thingie.

I assume some machine does that wiring, unless labor is that cheap in Malaysia that they have people do all that hand wiring.

I truly don't get it at all. If one is to steal a Barbie, one would not take the doll and leave the box, even in those pre-wired days. Ya take the BOX!
While we are on a packaging rant...who thought up that impenetrable plastic that surrounds batteries and sundry electronics??? I'm killing scissors here and getting cuts on my fingers......

I believe the boxes are sturdier than the actual toys, lately.
My nephew got some kind of transforming robot thing made out of cheap plastic that broke while trying to put it together.
Back in the day, we made our transforming robot things out of metal, and we liked it!

I'm waiting for someone to start selling a special tool kit specifically designed to open those special tool kits that have 43 tools connected to a pliers and can never be removed from their plastic cases without a table saw and metal snips.

I truly hate that shit. It is my enemy! I've fucked up too many knives with that packaging.

Ahh, blister packaging, my mortal foe! What's even worse is if you have to return the thing inside for some reason after opening. The packaging is so mangled that you feel embarrassed to bring it back.
