I like Sophia. It's a graceful name she can grow into. Sophie while she's still a kitten, Sophia when she's mature.

That was great! One thing to remember, most names are eventually going to get shortened, how would you shorten Octavia??? p.s. I think someone ^ spends too much time on the TB. Me too! :D |
I'd name it Frank.. but that just me
and Hard8s, you could shorten it to Tavey or something ove the likes |
she has big ears so something like bugsy or bugs
|
When I get a cat, it'll be a random, ex-stray bastardised tabby of no particular origin, and I will call it Average The Cat.
But that cat should be called Maurice. Awexome. |
Ears McGee

i like the name Bup-Bup for a cat such as the one displayed. Sophia is also cute
|
Sophia (Sophie or Sophy)
|
One name comes to mind when I look at her, Arwen. even if your not a LOTR fan. it's still a beautiful name.
|
I personally like Octavia but they both work
|
Definitely looks like a Thor to me, but since its a female, I'd go with Sophia.
|
That is DEFINATELY Julia...
I have three cats, and strangely, the names for two of them came immediately... the third was my niece's idea... I was gonna call her T.C. but my neice figured I HAD to call her Miss T.C. cause she was a girl kitty.... changed that to "Mystici"... the other ones are "Trixie" and "Elam" |
Here are a few cat names I've come with over the years:
Chaos ("Kay" for short) Queenie Grace Petite Xena (if she's a warrior princess) You want to stay away from names that have a long "o" sound, like Sophia or Joan. Among cats, the long "o" is a warning or threat signal. If you give her such a name, it could confuse her, although she'd probably figure it out eventually. |
Brian
or Dave Depending on the cuteness level, possibly Steve |
Hrm, She looks like a sophia but I'd name her bob out of principle and for the fun of it.
|
Doesn't make any difference.
She won't come when you call her. But my cat would call her "Lunch." :p http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0TADdA...04115791024120 |

It has been a fun week reading everyone's posts while getting to know our new addition. And I am happy to say that we no longer will have to go around calling her Baby Kitty until a new name is chosen. There have been some great suggestions and some strange ones also. Below you will find a summary of the names you suggested to us. It has been a blast, and we loved all of the ideas you had. Oh, and if you scroll way down, you will see our new kitty and her new name............

Grace….hated that show Tippi….Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds….scared the hell out of me Tavey….makes me think of Riki Tiki Tavi Julia….the movie was too dark Chaos ("Kay" for short)….makes me think of college Queenie….this is a dog’s name Petite…..too French Xena (if she's a warrior princess)….she’s not I’ve had cats with these names, so these are out……. What a great picture - you really captured a lot of her personality there. She just LOOKS like a Sophia.
