What was actually nice, if not just a tad surprising-there were no surprises upon meeting anyone. Well, Charlatan and Teknoetoeknee are even more edible in person than any pictures may convey, but other than that.....
Shanifaye-a total class act. I really want to see her again and again.
Kramus-right down to the radio-man type voice-he could go on tour giving lectures on just about anything
PaddyJoe-I really need to get back up there and hit a bar with this man-he is SO cool
UnclePhil-funny, irreverent, and can hold his booze better than anyone I have ever seen(and makes some FINE killer ribs)
Onesnowyowl-Damn, I thought she'd be all demure,etc...WRONG-this girl was there to par-tay and didn't disappoint(webcam watchers will attest to that)
Amonkie-her presence merely solidified everything anyone has ever said about her. Her powers of observation and commentary will blow you away.
Tecoyah-should throw more parties. The consumate host. If you don't love this man, you should-he makes for a great friend.
YAKK and Oblar-A joy to meet. Gentlemen all around.

What I did on my summer vacation (I figured I'd just add my pics rather than have tons of threads)

I arrived at the Newark airport Friday afternoon to be met by these two people who proceeded to make fun of me for looking up and trying to read signs instead of seeing them waiting on me!!

so I took afew pics with them

All too soon it was time to board a MUCH smaller plane to Rochester. I was bored and took pictures of clouds that I thought looked cool

after getting settled at the house Tec broke out the wine for me and we went outside to await the misquitoes and dinner

unfortunately I didnt take many pics that first nite...
Saturday several people "kidnapped" me to get me out of the house so they could set up their surprise for me. Paddy took me around Rochester to see some sites

Meet the kidnappers!!

At the art gallery place Paddy took us

At the kodak museum we found an where Giant Hamburger had left is mark....If you look closely you can see where Christ is so inspired by GH, he left his mark

We went to the George Eastman house, my favorite thing was the big elephant head

When we got back, of course by now you all know that they had a bridal shower for me, with Uncle Phil and PaddyJoe modeling wedding dresses for me!!

I had a really great time, it was sad to leave it all behind

It was such a pleasure to meet everybody, EACH of the people that were there is special in their own way, and we all mesh so well...I really wish we all lived closer.

All the times I've been to Rochester, I swear I never knew the sky was actually blue there.. I've only seen it grey and dreary... Pretty cool....

NG and Cyn have the best smiles... damn is she tall!!!
