Jilted John Goes to Cops....

You can't make this stuff up people...

Jilted john reports drug scam to Somerville cops
Quote:

Maybe the Somerville police need an angry john complaint line.

A frustrated man stunned officers at the station when he called demanding justice because a city woman broke a bawdy drugs-for-sex barter.

Perplexed police are now investigating.

The mother of the alleged solicitor said it wasn't her daughter's first time offering an X-rated exchange, said Sgt. David Fallon.

So far, Somerville police have not made any arrests for the risque business on Maine Avenue.

The man, whose named was not released, called police to report he responded to an advertisement by a woman on the boston.craigslist.org Web site under the casual encounters category.

According to a police report, the woman who posted the ad stating she would give oral sex for drugs. But they met, she grabbed the drugs and left the john out in the cold.

In a rejection-fueled fury, the man called police to report the ``crime'', exposing himself to possible criminal charges.

A quick search of the Boston craigslist Web site using ``Somerville'' as a search term revealed a posting on Tuesday from a Somerville woman offering oral sex in exchange for five or six ``perks or vikes'' – slang for powerful painkillers Percocet and Vicodin.

Craigslist spokesman Susan MacTavish Best said the Web site ``often'' cooperates with police about postings. She did not comment on this unhappy customer.

I think this goes into the "what were ya thinkin' skippy?" category...

How can thought be part of the process? Calling the police made no sense unless he was high. Angry, daft, and high could do it.

I do like the "in a rejection-fueled fury" line though. Say...

I don't like that at all...

perks & vikes are slang? ;) how 'bout "abbreviations"

this kind of shit happens all the time, though, if you're expressing surprise. a shitload (I wanna say most, but don't have the data in front of me, so I'll stick with the vernacular) of police episodes are disputes over dumbass crap between two stupid people who couldn't figure it out themselves--and a lot of it over drugs/sex/whateveryourviceis

Yea - I'll second the "this happens all of the time" thing. One of my professors (retired cop) was telling me that he and his partner were on patrol and a woman (who they could immediately tell was a crackwhore) came up to the car and started trying to convince them to arrest a john for not paying her all of what he promised (I think he promised 20 and paid 10, or something like that). The guy had since left, but she was irate and demanded that the cops chase him down and get her money. Not among the brightest of people :)

If you've ever made it through an entire episode of "Cops," you're probably willing to convict anybody who's been arrested.

The perps don't seem to be rocket scientists (Cyrnel? Ya get it?)
