But that also means QUALITY posts - you start spammin with lots and lots of posts that do not have good teeth to them .. you are just delaying the process.

I don't know what the criteria for a "good post" is exactly, but I have noticed that not all posts increase your post count. Just the fact that someone took the time to attempt to require "quality" posts speaks to the dedication of the management here. I manage a couple boards myself and I know how much work it can be to stay on top of these boards, let alone do things like making sure people are actually participating and not spamming to get their post count up.

By good, we mean posts that you have actually put thought into - just a response of emoticons or random one line thoughts are not helpful to building community and discussion .... the core of TFP.

this being a community of ***ahem*** intelligent participants on this board, there are stages in which you grow... much like going from grade skool to board of directors... with each level of enhancement comes a level of gratitude that you have attained enlightenment as well as an aura of euphoric proportions... with being said, i'd like to take this time to thank my Mom, for without her i'd be forever in the dark, on the outside looking in so to speak... i'd also like to thank mr. alexander, my high skool proctor, who also showed me how to remove a volkswagon from the roof of the institution of stoned learning, (mr. peterson, yer still a dick)... furthermore, i'd also like to thank all the newbs here for helping me keep my sanity, Uncle Phil has tried but failed in that regard...
so in closing, i'd like to take this opportunity to adjust your TV screen and say welcome to the FACTS OF LIFE, unlike that which you have ever known before... now... just because i'm paranoid doesn't mean they're NOT after me...
