Lean or muscular?

Personally, I'm on the lean side, arms, legs, abs... But there's probably heaps of people who love guys with muscles, (that's cool, less competition, right? )
Just wondering what makes you lean (yup, hilarious) one way or another. Family? Culture? First crush you had?

For me it depends..... I generally dont like really skinny guys, I actually find it quite a turn off. On the other hand I dont like guys who are ripped too huge. That can be be gross and a huge turn off as well. So I guess I am looking for an in betweeny if you will. A guy with some meat on him, and some nice mucles. So it feels just right when he wraps his arms around me and makes me feel safe and comfy!

I'm not really sure why, but I think skinny guys are hot. And that's the type of guy I tend to date.

I really like skinny guys. A lot of muscles are a turnoff for me. I've dated guys who were 140 pounds or so.

Now that I think about it, maybe its because I find guys in suits hot, and bulkiness is not sexy for the suave look.

Bit of both for me. ..... not too muscular but not to lean either. little bit of both. I like muscular arms, but not those big ones that you can get. Does that make sense to anyone else.
Cant think straight tonight, so if I dont make sense then let me know.

I forgot to say Why i liked lean guys . . .

i'm not sure.

I think we all have an inherent type we are attracted too. I've always liked that type of guy (and women too for that matter) . . . attraction is a wierd thing and i'm not sure what part of our brain governs it

I like lean guys more than muscular, in general...

But I really like meaty guys. Ones that are like teddy bears, all soft and cuddly.

mmmm Orlando... that's delicious.

I also prefer the tall skinny type. I honestly have no idea why. I think it's just always been that way for me... perhaps it just comes along with the geeky personality I go for as well.

Lean and toned.

i think my attraction to that type has to do with it's geek/intellectual/but still cool associations, in my mind at least.

plus, i like that aesthetic.

i have no desire/need to feel that 'safety and comfort' that some of you mention.

i'm petite enough that i can get enough of that feeling from the leaner guys ... big ones almost frighten me, really.

I like the strong and agile type, there's something deeply manly about a seemingly effortlessly performed grande cabriole. I like the tall and slim type, when they dress well they look stunning. I like the average cuddly guy for their average cuddlyness. But for some reason the body type that can get me turned on in the most unexpected situations is the short, broad bulldog-like type, like James Cagney. Preferably with warm, strong hands... *melts*

There was this time when I was really ill from pneumonia, I just wanted to crawl under a rock and die, and I was getting my lungs x-rayed. The male x-ray nurse was just that type, blonde with a hint of an eastern european accent and utterly professional. There I was, with my naked bosom pressed against the ice cold x-ray thingy, slowly choking to death on lung goo, with a serious case of sleep depravation, and still I managed to get all tingly by his slightest touch. It was like a trashy romance novel.

I like my men to be lean, but athletic (wow! did I just say that?). That was what attracted me to my husband, believe it or not.

I definitely prefer the best of both worlds. In fact, I'd go for an athletic-build man anyday over just lean or just muscular. Oh baby.
There is one particular man that I think has a hunky body and that's Philippe Candeloro. Soooo sexy.

Rrrrr.....so hot.

I think it just depends on the guy...my hubby is broad shouldered and while not really muscular, just naturally built strong. I've seen guys who were lean that were attractive too.

I finally found a picture in the full monty that I liked - I'll post it here as an example of my preferred body type. The only thing about this guy is his biceps are almost a little bigger than I like. I just don't like big pecs, big shoulders, and the "6-pack" thing leaves me cold. I can enjoy a little muscle definition, but too bulky and the whole attraction thing just doesn't happen for me at all.

Mm, agreed, squishor...that was the first thing I noticed about the guy--"nice, except those biceps..." I like chicken arms. And chicken legs.

For a picture of my preferred body type, you can go to this thread here and see a picture of a friend of mine who is exactly how I like 'em.

If the guy looks good I wouldn't care if he was skinny or not. I dont think I would like someone who is plain boney though, but i LOVE a built muscular man. NOT the professional body builders or anything, I would say that that's a little to much, but some of the men from WWE Now that's what I'm talkin about

I perfer a lean guy over a muscular guy, to me Muscular guys are not that attractive and they have always seemed to be cocky and a Show-off, both qualitys that i hate in a person.
some muscul is good, but generally a turn-off for me.

I like 'em all, depending on the person. Usually not into schwarzenneger(sp) types, but I like me some men. Slender, meaty, whatever - just masculine! I never had a "type"; I appreciate the beauty in lots of different body styles. Q is slender right now, but he's been working out and getting a bit more muscular, and that's sexy too. I just wanna bite 'im!!

I seem to be 'pulled' toward tall and lanky...
Not sure why.
But I've dated men tall and skinny, short and well...'stocky', and what was in my mind...'perfect.'
btw...perfect was 5'8", 180lbs, muscular military man. Yummy.
<shivers>
Then what?
Right back to tall and lanky.
I'm really not picky...but I have to admit to being 'drawn' sometimes. LOL
