Thinking about starting a comic using this style

I'm considering starting a comic book style graphic series using Photoshop. I'm thinking of creating each one about a dream/nightmare I've actually had. The stories wouldn't lead in to eachother. I have absolutely insane and often frightening dreams on a daily basis so I'd never run out of material. I'm often not myself and the stories I dream about usually have nothing to do with people I know or things I do. They are almost like random people's lives I live every night. Therefore the stories are quite universal and interesting.

Here is a quick picture I did in photoshop using the style I had in mind:

I can do some Max Payne/Sin City-esque drawings using photoshop but I think dealing with color would take too long and black & white might work better overall.

What do you think?

If you guys like it then I'll surely have more to follow.

I think it looks great...

For me what will matter most is the story, but if the story is good I am sure those graphics will compliment it nicely.

Any plans to use spot colour?

I think color can be used very sparsely for thins like blood and when it's integral to the story.

I say ditch the jaggy lines all over the picture. It is a nice strong graphic, and the lines (especially because they are jaggy) detract from it. If it was a good story, I'd buy it. It looks good.

The lines are definitely going to go. I was trying to simulate the Max Payne look just for this picture but it didn't work so well. Maybe action lines to indicate movement would be the best case scenario, but besides that don't expect them to be on each frame.

lol I thought that was rain.

It looks good, very sin city ish (which I love). I think you should keep it in B&W, it gives it the more surreal look youre going for I think.

I always liked the sin city black/white with red added in key locations... do it up then let me read it :P
