WOW man...thats awesome! Great detail, I like using pencil. Sometimes I'll mix it up and throw some black ink into the mix. Your picture is pretty sick though!

I especially like the eyes and scruntched nose which add depth.

Care to elaborate? And part of that is the scan. I scanned it as a med quality jpg... Makes a differance.
