a portrait of my wife

I took this picture at Children's hospital when our son had surgery and was in the hospital for a few days, we had lots of pics , but I snuck this one with a telephoto lens. then i decided to blow it up in a drawing. though it was lso large that i had to scan it in two sections then mate them, (that's why there is a funny color difference from the left and right side.

Beautiful, really beautiful!

That is a beautiful drawing, an amazing display of talent.

I hope you don't mind, but I took the drawing and removed the line. I thought it should be seen as true as possible!

This shows the depth of your love for your son, as well as your true inner beauty. I hope you frame it!

Shoot... that was just a low res one. If you want to PM me an email address I'll send you a higher quality one.

Oh, and I'm glad you liked it :D I was worried I was going to step on some toes.

this is really a heart warming drawing.

i saw this the other night & was gonna attempt what yakimushi did for you, but i got side tracked inside of photoshop. and then i got side tracked elsewise, so here's where i left off... it could be taken so much further, but i'm throwing out my psd file now.

such a lovely image to play with. so many possibilities... but it's just perfect the way you drew it. ♥

Interesting, bern- I like the contrast of colors and shades. Thanks!

I like the depth of the image, wish I could draw more like that.. never can put any depth to my objects.

You have quite a talent. Very nice shading and a great shot to depict. Lovely.

runawayfetus 03-17-2004 07:05 PM

wow she looks pretty good lookin

cynicalgrrlll 03-18-2004 10:01 AM

I love the way, that when I look at the picture, i can almost hear her give a sigh of relief, as she touches her son's hand. very intense and detailed, yet a simplely drawn portrait,
