A few new pieces

I've been trying to keep 'creative' by not allowing myself to develop a style, but rather starting each piece without too many preconceptions. Just going with the feelings.

Love the truck! Is that a Washington DC license plate? Can't be - what is that? It would be great to own something like that. Nice work.

Glad you like it. It's a Canadian BC plate. It's falling apart just down the road from where I live. I'm sure if you offered a good price...... :p

I like how although the sky in the second painting is so much different than the third, they both work very well on their own. Great work.

Quite a contrast from piece to piece - it looks like you are really developing the flexibility in style.

The detail in the first one, especially with the book, is great... and i love the colors in the last one... this is really excellent work

Those are all awesome, but I'm really liking that house. Looks almost cartoony, yet painted. It just works out really well.

those are all really nice, Lewis!

i'm drawn to the house one, because of the shadows & the intense blue sky.
the first one is interesting, because of the unreal perspective of the bedspread.

thanks for sharing these! :)

Thanks so much to everyone for the encouraging comments. It's difficult to get a feel for them on the screen, and they look quite different in real life. The house and the truck are about 4 feet on the longest dimension, apart from the one on the bed, which is about 30" square.
