Queer As Folk

Just wondering if anyone watches this show? I started this thread before but didn't get many responses before TFP went down...I love the show and wondered if their were any others who liked it too!

Dude, that show is gay.

Never seen it though, due to my lack of Showtime. I just had to make the obvious joke because I'm an idiot.

This thread hasn't been used in almost a year, but I guess I should still post in here instead of starting a new one.

I'm also curious if anyone watches (or has ever watched) QAF and what they think of the show. I don't watch a lot of TV, but I decided to rent the show once on DVD and I ended up buying the first two seasons on (I don't have Showtime). I think it's great, but I know a lot of people that don't like the show at all, mainly because of the way it portrays gay lifestyle. Just curious if anyone on here has an opinion.

There was a lot of controversy when it first came out.
From what I gathered, only women and gay men watched it, all my straight mates couldn't stomach it!

i really enjoyed the first season (though arguably not as much as the british version) and found the second one only ok... i've yet to get my paws on season 3, I'd probalby only be watching it for the cute boys at this point...

Are you talking about the original (and alledgedly superior) English version, or the US rip-off?

I stomached it, didn't bother me too much, but my brother had to leave, it weirded him out

I LOVE how straight men can't even handle the idea of gay sex whereas all straight women are supposed to embrace the idea that lesbian sex (usually in the context of letting some guy watch) is hot hot hot.

I'm talking about the US version. I've never seen the British version. So far I've only seen season 1 and 2. I agree that the first season is much better than the second. A friend of mine that is really into the show says that season 3 has been the best so far.

The British version of Queer As Folk is now available for viewing on Hulu - the entire first season and the start of the second season, if anyone is interested. I started watching it yesterday and I'm hooked. Who wouldn't love a show that revolves around a bunch of hot, hot men making out?
