I saw last night during the Seattle International Film Festival (http://www.siff.net) and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of it.

Story-wise, it plays out like a blend between The Matrix, Bladerunner, and Dune. That may be unfair, as it is not really too similar to any of those films, but manages well with a unique story. The animation looks great for the most part, and while there are some inappropriate-snicker-inducing points, on the whole it is put together well.

If you like androids, jet-powered robot-suits, and fantastical near-future films with anime hair, I recommend seeing it -- even if you aren't generally into anime (like I'm not.)

Charlatan

I rented this last weekend, it was pretty good. My 13-year-old son liked it too.
